I didn’t get enough playing time that’s why I couldn’t progress in football – Yaw Dabo

Kumawood actor, Samuel Nana Yaw Dabo who doubles as a football academy manager has unleashed why he has a great passion for football management.

Remember that the actor has established his own football academy named Dabo Soccer Academy at Konkori in the Ashanti Region to nature football talents.

Speaking on Oyerepa TV’s Today’s Sports, Yaw Dabo explained that, he had a great passion for soccer but the fact of the matter is that, coaches did not give him enough time to play in matches so it killed his spirit hence not progressing to become a professional player.

“I was a skillful player. I was a skimmer but I didn’t get enough playing time that’s why I couldn’t progress in football.” Yaw Dabo told Sometymer Otu Acheampong, host of Today’s Sports.

Meanwhile, the football manager is poised to host a 16-team tournament on August 5 2022 at Konkori.

The move according to him will help to select good players for Dabo Soccer Academy. The winner of the tournament would be paid in US Dollars equivalent to GHc2,000.
