Not more than 200 Presenters can boast of having 20,000 cedis in their Bank account – DJ Candyman shockingly reveals

Radio Personality, Alex Kwaku Amoah popularly known as DJ Candy Man has revealed that not more than two hundred Presenters in Ghana can boast of having an amount of twenty thousand Ghana cedis in their bank accounts.

According to the DJ, the Ghanaian media landscape is not lucrative anymore, which has has resulted in Presenters going through numerous hardships.

Speaking in an interview on Onua FM’s “Anigyeɛ Mmrɛ”, the renowned DJ disclosed that most Presenters live from hand to mouth due to poor and inadequate salaries they earn monthly.

He made an emotional appeal to owners of media houses to consider paying their employees some reasonable salaries.

The former Atinka FM’s drive time host has worked with a number of radio stations such as Radio Lynk – Kumasi Polytechnic campus radio, Shalom Radio – Brekum, Fox FM – Kumasi, Hello FM – Kumasi and Rainbow Radio – Accra.

He is currently working with the newly established Asaase Radio in Accra.

DJ Candy Man has over the years proved to be one of Ghana’s untouchable talents and has turned up a number of night clubs with mouthwatering music.

In his entire radio career, spanning over two decades, Candy Man has trained many radio presenters and DJ’s who are making a lot of impact on the music scene.
