Ghanaian musician and songwriter, Martin King Luther popularly known as Kofi Kinaata declared that he doesn’t release song purposely for awards.

Kinaata has emerged the Vodafone Ghana Music Award’s Best Songwriter category consecutively from 2018 to 2021, insisted that his fan’s support has helped him massively to secure all the accolades and deals he has gained.

He is well-known for his Fante rap and freestyle and therefore known as the Fante Rap God and aside his rap astuteness, he has grown into a very good singer taking the highlife genre by storm.

“As for the songs we release for the fans because they are the ones who listen to the songs but for VGMA it’s just organized in a day and after that, it’s gone,” he continued.

“VGMA is encouraging but when the fans get fulfilled then you become happy,” Kofi Kinaata told Foklex Media Award-winning Entertainment Program Host, Amansan Krakye.

“But aside from that I’m not sure anyone takes a plan to release their songs around a particular time in order to win an award”, he ended
