MUSIGA and GHAMRO are all not relevant – Gospel musician

Renowned gospel musician, Mr Edward Akwasi Boateng has stated that joining the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is not compulsory.

According to the celebrated gospel star, he is interested in joining GHAMRO which will protect his songs and give some monetary returns to him than an association which will not make any contribution to his career.

He made this statement in an interview with Papa Kumasi on Anigye Krom on Royal TV.

Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) is a royalties collection agency within Ghana, that represents the rights of music copyright holders. It was created under section 49 of the Copyright Law, Act 690 of 2005. The agency collects royalties for all rights owners in Ghana.
